Cow Bone Māori Toki Necklace with Strip of Paua Shell
This cow bone Māori Toki Necklace is a good size, at approximately 6.5cm (2 1/2") long, and includes a beautiful strip of paua shell at its bottom edge.
The toki design represents an important Māori tool, the adze. Its design signifies power, authority, and wisdom. It is the perfect gift for someone you look up to, or someone who has acquired wisdom, like at the completion of their university degree.
Paua shell is New Zealand's native abalone shell, found only in NZ waters. Its shell is a mix of blue, green, pink and purple, and no two pieces are the same.
The toki hangs from a long black plaited cord with adjustable cord.
