Maroon Short Māori Feather Korowai
This Maroon Short Māori Feather Korowai is perfect for graduations or other ceremonies where it provides the look of a korowai without the full length.
Maroon is also the iwi colour for Ngāti Rongomaiwahine, whose ancestral land is on the Māhia Peninsula, and who descend from Rongomaiwahine.
This korowai, or kahu huruhuru to be exact, is made by a Maori lady of Ngati Porou descent.
It has a Maroon, White and Black knitted taniko top, with maroon feathers below. If you want different coloured feathers, let us know. You can choose different coloured feathers here.
The taniko has a patiki design, which spiritually means abundance, prosperity, and care of others.
This korowai measures approximately 1m wide, and 20cm (8") deep. It is lined with black fabric.
NB: If we are out of stock at the time you order, allow 2 weeks for it to be made.
Proudly Māori made in New Zealand, and shipped worldwide.
The korowai is also available in a deluxe black gift box - perfect if this is a presentation piece. The photo of the boxed short korowai is a representative photo, showing one of our other short korowai boxed.
